There are over 300,000 players involved with clans, making over 90,000 posts per week in the clan forums and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are combat clans, skilling clans, quest clans, clans based on where you’re from and even those that focus on just turning up at the Jolly Boar Inn for a drink and a chat. With such a fantastic variety of clans out there, it’s something worth celebrating and in our 10th anniversary month that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

Last year’s Clan Celebration Month was a massive success and since then we’ve seen clans emerge, friendships develop and rivalries grow. With your help and that of your clan, this year will be even greater and with 2011 being the year of the clan updates, there has never been a better time to get involved.

From the 17th to the 30th January, we’re hosting the clan festival of the decade to celebrate the best of the clan community. It’s an opportunity to represent your clan and prove why they pwn as well as a chance to get involved in a clan that suits you, ready for the fantastic clan updates we have in store.

The clan community always have tons going on, but over the next two weeks we’re going into overdrive with even more clan-related joy:

• Meet & Greet
  Whatever your level and whatever your interest, being a part of a clan can be a massive help to your RuneScape experience. So whether you’re new to clans and are looking for just the right group or are a 5 star posse looking to represent and see your ranks grow, meet and greet sessions are a must.
• Last Man Standing
  The TzHaar are lending us the legendary TzHaar Fight Pits for a tournament that is not for the faint hearted. All comers are welcome so come fight to the death to win glory for your clan and prizes for yourself.
• Clan Trials
  While most clans welcome all comers, some are elite organisations that demand proof of their members' skills before accepting them into the fold. Check out the clan trials to test your mettle and rise to the challenge.
